THE CHRISTVERSE
Where do you live? In a universe? Or in a Metaverse?
As a christian, where do you live? In a Universe or in a Christverse.
A universe is defined as a distinct field or province of reality that forms a closed system or self-inclusive and independent organization. A universe can also be defined as the world of human experience. That is, a universe is any place where humans live(survive), learn, grow, interact with each other, form relationships and do all other stuffs that make existence possible. For the normal human, our universe is the planet earth. The planet earth has been the haven of human existence and survival for billions of years. With so much evidence and postulated theories surrounding this cosmos(universe), man has still found a way to exit in his universe no matter the circumstances or the challenges he may have faced.
Recently, there have been an upsurge of a virtual digital world called the metaverse. And this metaverse is believed to be the new normal — an extended universe were man can do things he may be limited to do in a normal world. But the question one will ask is this, what is this metaverse? Because that is actually what has become the talk and discussion of the day. As surreal as it may seem, it not all that surreal. The metaverse is simply a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection. The metaverse can also be understood as a graphically rich virtual space, with some degree of truth(reality), where people can work, play, shop, socialize — in short do things humans like to do together in real life on the internet. In futurism and science fiction, it is often described as a hypothetical iteration of the internet as a single, universal virtual world that is facilitated by the use of virtual and augmented reality headsets. But the big questions I like to ask are: Why the metaverse? Does man actually need a metaverse? Isn’t our current universe enough for us?
I believe this are all the attempts by the natural man to find truth or reality. For the natural man, there is no truth in this world any longer. So the metaverse is more of an intervention by man to discover and experience truth in a corrupt and perverse world. How ridiculous! But come to think of it, there is a true world. A real universe. And this real and palpable universe is only found in Christianity. I call it the ChristVerse. Yes, the Christverse is the only real world. There is no better world than the christverse.
What is this christverse then? In the book Galatians 3:27–28, the scripture is clear,,” For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female : for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Also in Colossians 1:13, the bible teaches that, “…who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”
The christverse is the kingdom of the dear son[Jesus Christ]. For it is in this christverse we live, and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28). One may ask, how do one get access into this christverse? It is very simple, as stated earlier, by putting on Christ or by being in Christ. And how is that possible? That is very possible. When you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal saviour you put on christ and you become a being in Christ and ultimately you are translated into the kingdom of christ — the christverse. And in the christverse, we live by what we call the law of the spirit of life. (Romans 8:1–2). The operating system of one in the christverse is the Holy Spirit. He is our source and administrator. In the christverse is righteousness, peace and joy in the holy spirit(Romans 14:17). There is no place like the christverse.
Our current world is full of corruption and debauchery. Nothing seems to satisfy and give hope. Things keep on getting worser and I assure you things will get worser. Many are depressed, dejected, tired, hopeless, lifeless in this current world(universe). And I bet you the solution to all that is not a metaverse. But rather the true solution to all the quandaries in this universe is the christverse. So I want to plead with all and sundry, there is a better world awaiting you. It is the christworld or the christverse. And in this world you will discover true purpose and live a life of utmost satisfaction.
