And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins” Matt 1:21

It’s the time of the year were we celebrate the birth of the one child who change the world. As though it may sound like a cliché, this child was special. His birth gave humanity one of the most powerful things we possess. We all know the story, and we all know what happens during this season. But then I would like to crave your indulgence a little to expound on the true essence of this season below.

— -

Red —

Its stains are irrevocable. Like a perpetual mark –it is durable and valuable. A natural colour. Mother nature’s concierge of solemnity. That explains why it exudes human life. Red is blood, blood is life, therefore Red is life. The saviour is born this day, the future will be full of bliss. Because his birth will save many lives. Red will purge many red. This Christmas when I see red, this is all that comes to mind.

White —

The emblem of victory. The fraternity of perfection. The paragon of life without wrinkle. After a pregnant woman conceives. Her joy is depicted with white. White is not just a colour. White is the victory, the radiance. That obscures our naked foibles. This Christmas white is all we shall see. God’s gift of salvation to man as it will be. Man will now live forever, because Christmas is not just a festive season. But a season we reminisce God’s greatest gift to man.

Green —

From within its eyes a brand of nature. Pure and intrinsic, our world is adorned in green’s extravagance. The signal of hope, love, and bliss, It’s the season when family bonds are strengthened. Green is the foundation of harmony and togetherness. Green’s power is just a mystery. Just like the Father loved the Son, that in him should all his fullness dwell. Green is the exaltation of the highest authority. The obedience of the son will give man victory over the enemy. And at the end, we shall all sing, Glory! Glory!! Glory!!! This Christmas, let green be the glory, that is shrouded in victory and bliss.

The true essence of this season is to reflect on the salvation God made available to man through his son Jesus Christ. This is the spirit of Christmas. This is the spirit of this season. As we go about having all the fun and enjoyment, we should never forget that Christmas is not just a festive season. But a season we reminisce God’s greatest gift to man.

Season greetings to you all. Merry Christmas and a blithesome New Year!
